Posted on

If your teeth are lightly stained from caffeinated beverages and dark-colored foods and you feel self-conscience when speaking or smiling around others, boost your self-esteem and regain your composure by whitening your teeth with the following methods. Afterward, maintain the appearance of yoru teeth by having them cleaned twice a year by a dentist and by brushing and flossing each day.

Crunchy Vegetables

Use a sharp knife to slice fresh cucumbers, zucchini, cauliflower, or any other hard vegetable that you prefer. After consuming a meal, chew a few slices of the vegetables that you have prepared. The crispness of each slice will draw food particles and bacteria to the vegetables as you bite into them. As a result, residue will not build up on each tooth's enamel. The healthy snacks will also replenish vitamins and minerals that your body needs to operate efficiently.

If you work long hours on a regular basis, pack a bag of vegetable slices to bring with you during each work shift so that you can counteract stains soon after drinking coffee or eating lunch or a snack.

Banana Peels

The magneisum and potassium that is located on the interior part of a banana peel will assist with naturally whitening your teeth. The magenisum and postassium will collect foreign substances as the peel comes into contact with enamel. Peel a banana and use a knife to cut one section of the peel that will be large enough to cover the front of your upper and bottom teeth.

Grit your teeth together as you wipe the inside of the peel firmly back and forth over your teeth. Afterward, open your mouth wide and wipe the peel along the backside of each tooth. When finished, rinse your mouth out with mouthwash or saltwater to remove loose residue from your teeth. Use a peel often to receive the best results.

Whitening Products

Buy a tooth whitening kit or tube of whitening gel from a pharmacy or all purpose retail shop. Read the instructions that were enclosed with your purchase before using the whitening products. Many products are designed to be applied to a toothbrush and moved over the surface of your teeth in the same manner that toothpaste is used. Use the whitening products as often as needed until the whiteness of your teeth has dramatically increased.
